No one hates ball-viced, high pitched vocals more than I. But it is inconceivable to push aside such efforts just because the dude with the mic wears his shorts a little too tight. There tuning is impaired, their compositions are intentionally face-slapping with diversity. All of this and off their rocker too!
A true delicacy in avant-garde hardcore. (Flipside)

Alice Donut should be bigger than they are. They made a lovely, guitar-laden noise, they have funny, twisted lyrics and a social conscience, plus they think Sinead O'Connor is a disappointment. One of those rare albums that's at home at a party or when you're all alone and you want to hear the words. They rip it all up, everything from rednecks to the very rich to preachers to MTV.. About Ms. O'Connor, "I wanna believe but you just make me sneer, 'cause it's the same emotions that they use to sell me beer."
On that note I think 1989 is finally behind us. (San Francisco Sentinel)

Hi, visiting here for the 1st time, nice blog, you have some great stuff here, but clumsy I am with computer things so I have this question, how do I manage to download anything? cos I got this message "edk2 is not a valid protocol" or something alike... Thanks

2. stogref  |  my website   |   Sat Mar 01, 2008 @ 05:29AM

Alright fernando glad you apreciate and there will be some more coming as soon as i get some free time.
Ok so like i said in shares first page, all you need to get those is any eDonkey network client... means you need software such as eMule and once you run it the links will straight be in your download list as soon as you clicked on them!
I rather share this way because it "forces" people to SHARE in the way the more sources there are, the faster you get the file...
Alas through the years i realise that many gigas transfered on every file i'm often the only source left... but it's ok as long as leechers enjoy what they get and don't complain to me that the dl speed isn't what they expected! Hey, want stuff faster? Keep sharing what you've just completed is fair enough to me.
I hate megaupload or rapidshare with their bandwith limits and lost files, be sure all my links will remain shared, at least until i die!
You also can search the network in your client and type "stogref" and you'll be able to see all my rips.
Patience is the main thing with eMule (it's free, do a search) and a quality most internet users don't know, fuck them i say!
Anyway, you still can mail me if you need, cheers mate.

OK, I expected something like that... As I said I'm pretty clumsy with computer and never tried with these programs everybody talked about, e-donkey, e-mule and such, but anyway I have a slooow connection so it wouldn't make sense. Well I'll have to wait then till I have a better connection, meanwhile I'll visit now and then and see which gems I'm missing... :(
On the other hand, I think most of the writings here are borrowed from other sites, which is OK when you quote the source (& you do), but I've read some comments of yours in other blogs and I like those, so why not write here the stories yourself? In my opinion, the more personal the blog is, the better. Cheers, & thanks for the fast reply :)

Sorry bout this painful slow connexion, hope it gets better soon, but that shouldn't refrain you to use eMule... how d'you yhink i started? ;-)
Anyway you're absolutely right about the comments, i try to do so when i have the time (and french users often bug me for most of them are in english) but my first priority is posting the links of the files i'm sharing for now. When i get some more free time i'll definitely come back on each of them and put the infos/impressions in my own words... i started this blog not long ago and often just copy/paste what i can find it's true.
Thanks for caring fernando and letting me know how you feel, looking forward to read more from ya in the future... Salut!

well emule it's free but it's also full of crap and spam servers, spys, fake files, this network should die that's my opinion, if you don't know anything about the "ed2k world" you fucked.. so easy now with direct download, I love your release man and still use a bit emule, old school punk like that it's great keep up the good upload m8 ;)

6. stogref   |   Mon Jun 29, 2009 @ 02:58AM

well thanks beetroot, but talking eMule i've been using it for about 8 years now and despite you're right about the crap servers/files, it's easy not to get fooled just by hanging around dedicated forums/sites where the posted links have been verified... That's what i always used to do and never had any problem with the files i have downloaded. You think it should die, i think it should live on. Most people rather use torrents and most bloggers use direct download, but like i previously said, it's got more to do with giving away than sharing to me... Leechers pollute every network and ed2k one is the only one that 'forces' them to share a bit, at least the time they're being downloading the shitte you're sharing and that's something i can relate to, unlike the 'easy sucky way' the majority uses... and you know how the majority can be fucked, eh?! Anyway, many of my rips have been (temporarily) seeded in torrents or d.d. and i don't mind at all since i like the idea of spreading the good shitte, so feel free to do so if you will but let me do it the way i think it's right. On the other hand, i'm also sharing tons more cool music with SoulSeek... Cheers m8, and enjoy!

look, I've used ed2k since 2000 I've been to many boards and seen the napster/Direct Connect/Musepack/FLAC/APE raising up, the donkeyfr community the sharereactor/fileheaven and the french gruk in their best dresses ;) but this time is almost gone and most of the guys moved on, you can find good links on ed2k but the sharing experience doesn't really exist anymore, Direct Download man is shutting down the fuckin' p2p topology for the real thing >the culture<. With D.D you've got files 24/7 specially mediafire who doesn't suck like hotfile or RS(free).
I see you share on MF man, well done the most important thing for me is getting the easiest way for the maximum of people to seek/find/download culture, not spending hours on forums for technical questions about fukin' Low ID/firewalls.
D.D what we called it years ago and still now is Leech, but if leech is to changed, I wouldn't really give a shit if some one told me "thank you" for a album release, all I want is that the music I share goes to his ear and he likes the artists and spreads the word and gives support for gigs and shit and build-up a musical ear, that's where the real deal is man, fuck tagging, sharing music it's just to build up wider horizons, better understanding, sharing it's the real life not fukin' TCP/IP.

cheers and keep it up mate you've got some great stuff to share, we live on ;)

Hey, took you some time to reply but you've putted it very well i must admit, and i thank you for that.
Fact is that it took me quite some time to realise that myself, which explains why i recently decided to host my files on MF (started only yesterday).
You're right about making culture/subculture avalaible to any curious person the easiest way, i was wrong and keep on thinking whatever decision i make will prove me wrong somehow, so how's that from a twisted mind?
Anyway, again you're so right when stating about sharing is the real life, everyone's getting so confused with communication ever since the internet took a major place in our lives, and i'm no exception.
I shall now refrain from spending too much time on it and will try to apply my ethics to my real life... for a change.
Cheers and keep on growing the horizons wider by all means for we definitely need better understanding, and that's no joke!

9. Rapidshare Search  |  my website   |   Tue Dec 01, 2009 @ 06:17AM
