Shoutbus was a punk rock band from Washington D.C. whose music and lyrics were largely influenced by the 80’s punk rock group the Minutemen. And as is made obvious by Ain’t That America?, there’s still a long distance through the haze until anything, since the birth of this nation, ever changes. An information tool courageously trying to jump start the rusty machine.

I was proud to have his help; I thought he really knew what he was doing. And of course it wasn’t really his thing. A few of the songs are cringe-worthy. But a few were my favorites and really where I saw the band going if we could have continued. It was an interesting bookend for me with the band because I got a lot of satisfaction handing out my first tape and I couldn’t even give the CDR away. Full circle. I think I ended up throwing a big load of those away."
