Black Market Baby - Potential Suicide
Decraneo - Sacrilegio
Punk Rock from Mallorca, Spain. Ripping female vocals added to catchy and furious 70s punk rock riffs with hardcore urgency.
This is their latest effort, after the 2011 EP and their ripping album from 2013.
If you like good old spanish punk rock bands such as Ultimo Resorte, more recent stuff as Sudor or even Los Angeles Bags, this 4 tracks EP's for you!
Les ingrédients de base sont toujours les mêmes: punk 77, un peu rock 'n' roll, hardcore, et la voix de Mary toujours hargneuse à souhait.
Decraneo - Heil Vaticano!
You can tell that there is fun in it, life, and enthusiasm. The pissed-off voice of the singer Maria makes it all a butt kicker. All lyrics are in Spanish, which is also cool, although I don't get shit, ha ha.
Various Artists - Rat Music For Rat People Vol. III
All tracks recorded @ CD Studios, Jag Studios & Chicago Recording Company.
Third in this well-known punk series, this is much less thrash-oriented than Vol. 2 if nowhere near as great as Vol. 1. D.I. punk up Sweet's 1973 glam hit "Ballroom Blitz" à la Damned and Rezillos versions, only with new lyrics. Both their tracks here blow away their recent LP, sounding much more like the band they're rooted in... Adolescents! Speaking of Adolescents, they on the other hand butcher, meaning slaughter, the Kinks' 1964 classic "All Day and All of the Night," making us appreciate the Stranglers' wonderful version all the more. Real Naked Raygun fans will be glad to get the unreleased elsewhere "Rocks of Sweden"; surf Raygun? You got it, and you'll want it. And there's more good stuff from the strange bedfellows of those wacky punk boys Adrenalin O.D., West Coast rap/funk/Beastie punks Doggy Style, '70s glam thrash from White Flag, and the usual yucks from Mojo Nixon. The rest fails to register, but still that's pretty good for compilations, ain't it? It sure is. ~Jack Rabid @AllMusic.com

Various Artists - Hell Comes To Your House Part II
It always amazes me that the so much of the early cowpunk bands and records get very little coverage in the No Depression world. I have never been shy about my love of a lot of these early bands and what they added to the musical landscape of punk in the 80s. The Hell Comes to Your House series, if you can call 2 volumes a series, started with a Horror Punk theme for Volume 1, and then moved on to Cowpunk-ish fare for the second volume. The Minutemen are likely the most fondly recalled band on the album, followed by Tex and the Horseheads, Blood on the Saddle (who's 'Poison Love' album is still MIA on CD, and a lost classic of the era) and the Screamin' Sirens. The Siren's are of note for the ND faithful as Rosie Flores was a member and even appeared in their little scene (but well worth checking out) film The Running Kid. Along with Blood on the Saddle, the Sirens recordings deserve a reissue of their own, but I fear the time has past for that. The Power Pop/ Pop Punk group The Joneses (who's song "Graveyard Rock" provided the title of the one and only CD comp that my old label Reanimator Records issued - Tombstone Park) really didn't have a roots rock feel to me, but in the days before the CD reissue of their stuff, I was just glad to hear more of their music. I've had a LP copy of this comp for years and really need to go back and give it a new spin. I know the era of the CD is coming to an end, but this music needs to be heard, needs to be talked about and needs to be remembered. Like so much of the Enigma Records catalog Hell Comes to Your House 2 is seemingly lost to the collections of those who have sought it out and the discount bins of fading record shops across the world. ~Eric Reanimator @NoDepression

Back to plenty of crazed covers on Schlong's last release, a cool plate shared with the other loonies from Long Beach One Eye Open. Learn the band's long story directly from their FB page!
Totally nut split album with funny voices and thrash tunes, definitely not for the weak in the mind, with a few cracks and pops too. Even a couple skips on "Goodbye To Romance" but hey, my copy of the album is as fucked as you are, so excuse ma French!
In 2007, Schlong gathered material as a digital release only called 'The Singles 1989-1995', and the band is still looking for a label to release it on vinyl. So, if you have connections/relations, use them for the love of Schlong, thank you!
